Where land, river, and a way of life bring community back together Guided and supported by Rewild Outfitters
Welcome to Rhythms of Nature!
Based at our riverside basecamp along the Dosewallips River, we offer immersive wilderness experiences—from family-friendly outings to rugged backcountry expeditions. Wilderness survival, kayak tours, fishing, and seasonal campouts are all part of life here, rooted in time spent on the land. Our basecamp is home to a resident elk herd, offering a rare opportunity to live and learn alongside wildlife. Each year, the salmon return to these waters, continuing a cycle that has sustained this land for generations. This river carries a long memory—of movement, survival, and relationship—and we step into that rhythm with respect.

Where the Elk Roam Wild & the Salmon Run Free…
This land sits along the Dosewallips River, a place shaped by water, movement, and generations of life returning again and again. The river has long been home to salmon runs that continue to be restored and protected, and to a resident elk herd that moves through these forests as it has for years.
We recognize that this land exists within the ancestral homelands of Indigenous peoples who have lived in relationship with this place long before us. Their connection to the river, the salmon, and the surrounding forests continues to carry forward in ways we honor with respect and awareness.
For over four generations, the Coones family has cared for and stewarded this land—maintaining its integrity while allowing others to experience its beauty and wildness.
As guests here, we ask that you move with that same respect—tread lightly, care for the land, and remember that you are part of something living, not separate from it.
